I want the same kind of change made on lots of pages
Some jobs touch many pages a little: a link added to each article, one sentence corrected on every service page, a heading reworded across a section. Done one page at a time, that leaves you dozens of separate changes to check.
The prompt
“Go through my [part of the site, e.g. blog] pages and [the change, e.g. link the first mention of each service to its page]. Make it one change I can approve, and show me the preview.”
Signed in, Get my prompt fills in your site for you. Otherwise press Copy and fill in the [bracketed] parts. First time? Connect your AI to bernard once: Use your own AI (opens in a new tab).
How it works
- Connect bernard to your AI (once). Log in to bernard, open your site, go to Use your own AI, and paste the setup prompt into your AI to connect it - a one-time setup.
- Ask for the change in your own words, or use the prompt below. Say which pages, or which part of the site.
- Approve once. The AI saves the edits as one change and sends you a preview link. Look over a few pages, press Approve, and they are all live.
If the AI cannot make an edit fit one of the pages exactly, it saves nothing and tries that page again, so the change you approve is always complete.
Questions people ask
- Will I have to approve every page separately?
- No. Bernard can save edits to up to 20 pages as one change, so you see one item to check and approve. A bigger job comes in a few changes of up to 20 pages each.
- What happens if one of the pages is different from the rest?
- Nothing is saved until every edit fits. If the AI’s edit does not match one page exactly, the whole change is held back and the AI is told which page to look at again, so you never get half a job.
- Is this the same as find and replace?
- It is more careful. Find and replace changes every match everywhere. This makes the exact edit the AI chose on each page, which is what you want for things like adding links in the right places.
