Make the text bigger

If you find yourself squinting at your own website, your visitors gave up long ago. Small text is one of the easiest things to fix on a bernard-hosted site — you ask, you look at the preview, you approve.

How it works

  1. Get your access prompt. Log in to bernard, open your site, and copy the prompt from Edit with AI (it contains a key that works for 12 hours).
  2. Paste it into your AI — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, whichever you already use — then ask in your own words, or use the prompt below.
  3. Approve. The AI sends back a preview link. Read a page or two — ideally on your phone as well — press Approve, and it's live.

Text sizes live in your site's stylesheet, so the AI can raise them consistently across every page in one change rather than page by page.

The prompt

Make the text on my site bigger and easier to read — [everywhere, or name the pages or sections that feel too small] — without breaking the layout.

The [bracketed] parts are yours to fill in. First time? Log in to bernard → your site → Edit with AI → copy your access prompt, paste that into your AI first, then ask the above.

Questions people ask

How do I make the writing on my website bigger?
If your site is hosted with bernard, just tell your AI — ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini — which text feels too small, and it adjusts the sizes in the stylesheet. You check a preview before anything is published.
Will bigger text mess up the design on phones?
Ask the AI to keep it readable on phones too — it adjusts the sizes so the layout still works on small screens. The preview link lets you check on your own phone before you press Approve.
Can I change just the small print, not everything?
Yes — be specific: 'make the paragraph text bigger but leave the headings alone', or 'just the captions under the photos'. The AI changes only what you name, and nothing goes live until you approve it.
