Put my Typeform form on my site

If you collect answers with Typeform, you can show the form inside any page of your bernard site. Your visitors answer it there, without leaving the page, and the answers arrive in Typeform as they do now.

The prompt

“I use Typeform. Put my form on my [page name] page. Here is its link: [paste the form.typeform.com link].”

Signed in, Get my prompt fills in your site for you. Otherwise press Copy and fill in the [bracketed] parts. First time? Connect your AI to bernard once: Use your own AI (opens in a new tab).

Send Bernard the form’s link and tell him which page it belongs on. He can put it in a particular spot, for example the empty box where an old form used to be. It lands on a draft, so you can look at it first, on a computer and on a phone.

A form is as tall as its questions, and the frame around it has a fixed height. Bernard sets a height that fits on a phone. If a long form looks cut off, ask him to make it taller. The frame scrolls inside, so nothing is lost.

The frame is not allowed to move your page. So end the form on Typeform’s thank-you message, and put your next step on your own page, around the form. Do not rely on a redirect set in Typeform.

Questions people ask

What do I need from Typeform?
The form’s link: in Typeform, open the form, choose Share, and copy the link. It looks like form.typeform.com/to/ followed by a few letters and numbers. Use the plain link, with nothing added after the letters and numbers.
Where do the answers go?
They stay in Typeform, and any tools you connected there carry on as before. If you also want these people in your bernard contacts, see the article on getting Typeform answers into bernard.
Can I paste Typeform’s embed code into my page?
No need, and pasted code is removed for safety every time. Give Bernard the link instead and he places the form the checked way.
Can the form match my site’s look?
Only from Typeform’s side. The form is Typeform’s own page in a frame, so your site’s fonts and colours don’t reach inside it. Set the look in Typeform’s Design settings.
Why is there space under the form on a computer?
The frame has a fixed height, because Typeform’s page can’t tell your site how tall it is. Bernard sets the height so the form fits on a phone, and you can ask him to change it.
Can the form send people to another page when they finish?
Not from inside the frame. The frame is not allowed to move your page, so a redirect or a button set in Typeform to open another page may do nothing. End on Typeform’s thank-you message, and put the next step on your own page, around the form.
Does anything go live straight away?
No. The form lands on a draft with a preview link, and nothing changes on your live site until you approve it. Send one test answer after you publish and check it arrives in Typeform.
