Can I connect more than one AI?

You don't have to pick one assistant and stay loyal. Claude on the web, ChatGPT, and desktop apps like Claude Desktop or Cursor can all be connected to your bernard sites at the same time — and used at the same time.

More than one, side by side

There are two kinds of connection, and they stack. Each one-click Claude sign-in is its own independent connection — sign in from your laptop and your partner's, and both work. The pasted setup prompt is one key that can live in several apps at once: paste it into Claude Desktop and Cursor and both are connected. What that key is and exactly what it can do is explained in What is the connection key?.

They all share one draft

Every connected assistant works on the same draft of each site — the live page never changes underneath a visitor. Each edit is applied to the page as it stands at that moment, so a later change builds on an earlier one instead of silently overwriting it. And while a site is being worked on, bernard shows everyone else on the account a note that it's currently being edited, so two of you (or two of your robots) won't trip over each other unknowingly.

You stay in control

Nothing reaches the public without your say-so. You look at the combined draft and approve it in bernard — or you tell a connected assistant, in plain words, to make it live, which is your approval given through it. Either way, every publish is written into your version history with what changed and when, bernard keeps a full year of that history, and any page can be put back.

Turning them off

The switches are as independent as the connections. Disconnect in Account → Your AI turns off the Claude sign-ins — all of them in one press. Replace key retires the pasted setup prompt everywhere it lives, and the fresh prompt reconnects only the apps you still want. Neither touches the other, so you can prune one side without disturbing the rest.

The prompt

I already have [first assistant] connected and want to add [second assistant]. Explain how they'll work together on my sites and how I stay in control of what goes live.

The [bracketed] parts are yours to fill in. First time? Connect bernard to your AI over MCP — a one-time setup in bernard → your site → Use your own AI — then paste the prompt above.

Questions people ask

Can I use two assistants at the same time?
Yes. Each connection is independent — the one-click Claude sign-in and the pasted setup prompt can both be active at once, and the same setup prompt can live in more than one desktop app. They can all read and edit your sites side by side.
What happens if two assistants edit the same page at once?
Both work on the same draft, never the live page. Each change is applied to the page as it stands at that moment, so one assistant's work builds on the other's rather than silently overwriting it, and your version history records every step. You review the combined draft and approve it before it goes live — or tell a connected assistant, in plain words, to publish for you.
Will I know when an assistant is editing my site?
Yes. While anyone — a person on your account or a connected assistant — is working on a site, bernard shows a note that the site is currently being edited, so nobody gets surprised by a page changing under them.
Does disconnecting one assistant affect the others?
The two kinds of connection are separate. Pressing Disconnect turns off the Claude sign-ins — all of them at once. Replacing your connection key disconnects every app using the pasted setup prompt, and the fresh prompt reconnects the ones you still want. Neither switch touches the other kind.
