Make another one just like this section
Half the time the fastest way to build a page is to copy something already on it. A second pricing card, another testimonial panel, a third step in a how-it-works strip - the layout is right, only the words need to change. Retyping it invites the copy to drift out of style. So don’t: duplicate it.

How it works
- Open your site in the workshop and point at the section. Move the mouse over the preview and sections light up with a plain-English name. Click the one you want. On a phone, tap it.
- Tap Duplicate. It sits beside “Select this” on the little bar attached to the section. Bernard makes the copy and puts it directly below the original.
- Edit the copy. Click into the new one and change its words and pictures the way you would any other part of the page.
- Approve. The copy lives on your draft until you press Approve, same as every other change.
You can do exactly the same thing by typing, which is handy when the section is on a page you are not looking at: “duplicate the pricing section on the services page and change the second one to say Annual.” Bernard finds it, copies it and tells you where the copy landed.
The copy is its own thing
This matters more than it sounds. Your site keeps a hidden label on each piece of a page so that an edit reaches the right one - including the separate wide-screen and phone versions of the same block. A copy that kept the original’s labels would be treated as the same block, and editing one would quietly edit both. So the copy is given fresh labels as it is made. Change one, the other stays exactly as it was.
The copy is otherwise identical: same styling, same spacing, same fonts. If the section had a wide-screen version and a phone version, both are copied together, so your page looks the same on every screen.
What it does not do
Duplicate is offered on whole blocks - a section, a panel, a list, a table, the containers - and not on a single heading, button or photo. Those are quicker to ask for in words, and the little bar is deliberately capped at three actions so it never covers the thing it points at.
To take a copy away again, point at it and tap Remove. To move it, drag it or ask Bernard. And if you want the same section on another page as well, that is Make the header match on every page territory for the shared parts, or a plain ask for everything else.
Questions people ask
- How do I copy a section of my website?
- Open your site in Bernard’s workshop, click the section you want in pointing mode, and tap Duplicate. An identical copy appears directly below the original, on your draft. You can also just type it: “duplicate the pricing section”. Either way you approve the draft before anything goes live.
- Will editing the copy change the original too?
- No. The copy is a separate thing from the moment it is made - it gets its own internal labels, so a change to one never reaches the other. That is true whether you edit it by pointing at it or by asking Bernard in words.
- Can I duplicate a heading or a photo?
- Duplicate appears on whole sections and panels, not on single headings, buttons or photos - a section is the piece people actually want another of. For one photo, ask Bernard in words, or use Swap to change the one that is there.
- Where does the copy land?
- Directly after the original, so you see it in the preview straight away. If you want it somewhere else, ask Bernard to move it, or - on a mouse - drag it into place in the workshop. Nothing is published until you approve the draft.
