Every page of your site carries its own copy of the header, the footer and the menu — and copies drift. A page you added last spring still shows the old phone number in the footer; a page brought over from your old site has a menu missing your newest link. What actually happens

Bernard takes the good version from the page you named and applies it across the site — replacing the drifted copies, and adding the section to any page that's missing one entirely. It's smarter than copy-and-paste in two ways that matter:

Links are adjusted per page, so a menu that works on your homepage also works from a page tucked two folders deep.
The "you are here" highlight follows the page — the menu on your About page still marks About as the current page, not whichever page the copy came from.

The sweep runs in batches — around fifty pages per pass — so a large site gets there in a couple of rounds rather than one, and it's worth naming the pages that matter most if you want them done first. It happens in batches, not instantly; the end state is the same either way: one consistent header, everywhere.
