How do my members sign in?

Your members sign in to the community forum with an email link. There is no password.

How it works

  1. The member goes to the forum sign-in page and enters their email address.
  2. A sign-in link arrives in their inbox.
  3. They click the link. On their first visit, they agree to the community rules once.
  4. They are in. Their device stays signed in for 90 days.

Staying signed in

The sign-in lasts 90 days on that device. During that time, the member goes straight to the forum without seeing the sign-in page. After 90 days, or on a different device, they enter their email again and get a fresh link.

One link per day

Only one sign-in email is sent per person per day. If the member clicks “send me a link” twice in the same day, the second attempt does not send a new email - the first one is the one to use.

If the link does not arrive

  • Check the spam or junk folder.
  • Wait a minute - delivery can take up to a minute.
  • If it has not arrived the next day, try again.
  • If the problem continues, ask the site owner - they can check whether the member has forum access.

The sign-in link is single-use

Each link works once. After the member clicks it, the link expires. If they need to sign in on another device, they go through the sign-in page again.
