I did not get my private website link
If an invitation-only website asks you to sign in, you do not need to remember a password. You need a fresh private link sent to the address the site owner invited.
The prompt
“A visitor says their link for [site name] did not arrive. Check their website login and help me resend it to [email address] without showing any private link.”
Signed in, Get my prompt fills in your site for you. Otherwise press Copy and fill in the [bracketed] parts. First time? Connect your AI to bernard once: Use your own AI (opens in a new tab).
Ask from the website
Open the website and use the email field on its sign-in page. Enter the same address the owner used for you, then check that inbox and its junk or spam folder.
The page gives the same answer whether an address is invited, active, unknown or revoked. It does not say that an address is on the list. That protects private relationships: otherwise anybody could work through addresses to discover a site’s clients, staff, stockists or members.
When the address currently has access, the site’s own sending address prepares a fresh link. The link goes to that inbox, never to the person making the request somewhere else. It is one-use, so open the newest message if more than one has arrived.
Ask the site owner
If nothing arrives, tell the owner the exact address you tried. They can check who can log in and whether the site’s sending address is ready. If you are invited or active, they can ask for a fresh link. If your grant is revoked, the owner must choose to restore it before another invitation can be prepared.
That owner action is also private. Bernard quotes the exact site and address and waits for the owner’s approval. He never reads the private link or a password back in chat; the fresh link goes only to the address on the login record. The owner journey is in Manage who can log in to my website.
A course link is a different question
A course enrolment and a whole-site invitation are separate permissions. If the course itself is open but you lost your learner link, follow A learner lost their way back in. Being a learner or member does not by itself put an address on a private whole-site list.
Likewise, leaving a marketing list does not remove an invitation-only website login. Unsubscribe choices stay public and do not depend on getting through the private door.
Questions people ask
- Can I ask for another website link?
- Yes. Use the email field on the private site’s sign-in page. It gives everyone the same answer, then sends a fresh link only when that address currently has access.
- Why does the page not tell me whether I am invited?
- Because the list itself may be private. The same reply stops somebody testing addresses to discover a site’s clients, staff, stockists or members.
- Can the site owner send it again for me?
- Yes. The owner can check your recorded address and ask Bernard to prepare a resend. Bernard quotes the exact site and address for the owner’s approval, and the private link still goes only to that inbox.
