Can I see what I asked for before?
Weeks after the fact, the question is rarely “what changed”. Your site history answers that. It’s “why did I ask for that?” The wording you’d agonised over, the thing a customer had said to you that week, the reason you chose one headline over another.

Your Workshop conversations and the chats in your domain setup tabs are saved as they happen, so that reasoning is still there when you want it.
Where to find them
Choose Past conversations from the Workshop or domain setup. You get your conversations newest first, grouped by day, each one named after what you actually asked for. Domain setup conversations also say which setup tab they came from.
Open any of them and you see the whole exchange in reading order: your messages, what Bernard said back, and any notes saved in place of a domain setup screenshot.
Reading it the other way round
For website changes approved in the Workshop, you can also come at it from the change rather than the chat. On your site’s page, version history lists everything that has gone live. Where a version came out of a Workshop conversation, a Why this change? link sits beside it and opens that conversation.
So the two records answer different questions, and each points at the other. Version history says what happened to your site and lets you Put it back how it was. Past conversations say what you were trying to do.
What is and isn’t kept
The words are kept: yours and Bernard’s. Domain setup screenshots are not stored in the saved conversation; a short note appears instead.
An old conversation is a record, so it stays as it is, and you can’t reply into it. When you choose Start a fresh chat from a saved conversation, Bernard returns you to the Workshop or the domain setup tab where it began. Say where you got to and Bernard reads your site as it stands today. Website changes proposed in the Workshop do not reach your visitors until you approve them (How do I approve or undo changes?).
Your conversations are yours. They sit behind your login, readable by you and anyone you’ve added to your account, and they’re never published on your site.
Questions people ask
- Are my conversations with the AI saved?
- Yes. Your Workshop and domain setup chats are saved as they happen, under Past conversations. Closing the tab, switching domain tabs, or choosing Start a fresh chat does not lose them. Website changes you approved in the Workshop are also listed in your site’s history.
- How do I see why a change was made to my website?
- Open your site’s history and look for the change. If the website change came from a Workshop conversation, there’s a Why this change? link beside it that opens the chat where you asked for it, so you can read what you wanted in your own words alongside what was approved.
- Who can read my saved conversations?
- Only you, and anyone you have added to your account. They sit behind your login and aren’t shared with anyone else or published on your site.
- Can I carry on an old conversation?
- Not in place. An old chat is a record, so it stays as it is. Choose Start a fresh chat and Bernard returns you to the Workshop or domain setup tab where that conversation began. Tell him where you got to. Website changes proposed in the Workshop still wait for your approval.
