How many campaign emails can I send?
One-off campaigns have a monthly allowance. It protects the reputation of your sending address and makes an accidental large send stop before it starts.
The starting allowance
The default is 2,000 campaign emails each month. It resets monthly. Your account may have a higher limit, and the limit can be raised when there is a genuine need.
Ask Bernard what remains before preparing a large campaign, or read the allowance blocker in Community → Email campaigns. This is separate from the eligible audience count explained in Who will receive my email campaign?. Both numbers have to fit.
What counts
The allowance covers one-off audience campaigns. It does not count automatic journeys, purchase receipts, course access mail or sign-in messages. Those go to one person in response to a real event and follow their own controls.
A campaign is never cut in half
Before approval, Bernard checks the frozen recipient count against what remains. If the campaign needs more, the whole send is blocked before the first message. It is never trimmed to an arbitrary part of the audience.
You can wait for the next monthly reset, choose a smaller lawful group, or ask for a higher account limit. If Bernard cannot read the allowance safely, the campaign stays blocked instead of guessing.
The allowance is only one readiness check. The sender, Terms and pause state must also pass; Why can't I send my email campaign? explains the full list. When everything is ready, Send an email campaign to my audience still requires approval of the exact saved version, digest, recipient count, timing and cancellation hold.

Questions people ask
- What happens if my campaign would go over the allowance?
- The whole send is blocked before the first message. Bernard shows what the campaign needs and what remains, so you can wait for the reset, choose a smaller lawful audience or ask for a higher account limit. The eventual send still needs approval.
- Do automatic emails and receipts count?
- No. The allowance covers one-off audience campaigns. Automatic journeys, purchase receipts and sign-in mail do not use it.
- Can my allowance be higher than the default?
- Yes. The default is a starting guard, and an account can have a higher limit. Ask Bernard to read what remains before preparing a large campaign; any actual send still waits for the exact version, count and timing approval.
