Make the numbers on my site count up
A number that counts up as someone reaches it is the most-asked animation for a good reason: it makes proof feel earned. “20 years”, “1,240 customers” and “4.9 stars” all read better when they arrive.

How to ask
Say which page and which numbers: “make the numbers in the row under my headline count up”. bernard finds the numbers, adds the animation to each one in your draft, and gives you the preview link. Animations from the library work on every bernard site.
Good to know
- Keep the number on its own. The animation counts the number and writes it back as a plain number, so “20+” counts up to “20”. Keep the “+” or the word “years” next to the number rather than inside it, and ask bernard to set it up that way.
- It counts once, when the number comes into view. Visitors who scroll past quickly still end on the right number.
- Some visitors see the final number straight away. People who ask their phone or computer for less motion skip the count. See Why do my animations not move for some visitors?.
- Your real figures only. bernard counts the number that is on your page. It never makes one up.

Questions people ask
- What do people see if the animation never runs?
- The real number. The page holds your number as it is, and the count only plays on top of it, so search engines and visitors without it read the right figure.
- Can it count to a number with a decimal point?
- Yes. Tell bernard how many decimal places to show, for example 4.9 for a review score.
- Can I see it before it goes live?
- Yes. It goes into your draft first. Watch it in the preview and publish when you are happy. The publish is your approval.
