Move my Typeform (or other form) sign-ups into bernard
You have a form on another service: a Typeform, a Mailchimp sign-up box, a form from your old WordPress site. You want the people who fill it in to arrive in your bernard contacts, so your automatic emails and campaigns can reach them.

What Bernard can do depends on whether the form still works. So the first step is always the same: ask Bernard to check every form on your site. It looks at every form on every page and tells you, for each one, where its answers go.
A form that has stopped working
If your site came from WordPress, some forms may look fine and deliver nothing, because the machinery they sent answers to stayed behind. The check marks these as broken. For each one you choose:
- Swap it for a bernard sign-up form. It keeps the fields the old form had, such as name, phone and message, and from then on every answer lands in your contacts.
- Reconnect it to your mailing provider, if you want the answers to keep going there. Connect a form to ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp or my email provider covers this.
- Take it off, if that sign-up is no longer needed.

A form that still works
A form that sends its answers to Typeform, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or a similar service is working, and Bernard’s form repair leaves it alone. That is on purpose: it cannot tell what that form feeds on the other side, and replacing it could quietly break something you rely on.
If you still want new sign-ups to come to bernard, the route is two plain changes you approve:
- Add a bernard sign-up form where you want it, in your site’s own look. Capture leads with a signup form shows the kinds you can have: a waiting list, a lead form for a free guide, a registration, or an enquiry.
- Take the old form off the page, only if you ask for it. Bernard does not remove a working form on its own.
Most Typeform boxes on a page load with Typeform’s own script. Bernard removes scripts from pages unless they are on its checked list, and Typeform is not on it, so an embedded Typeform may show nothing after a move. If yours is blank, the check will not find a form there at all, and adding a bernard form is the fix.
The answers you already collected
These stay in Typeform or your old tool. If you can download them as a spreadsheet, bring that file in from the contacts page. The people in it become contacts you can look up. They are not people you can email yet: a spreadsheet does not show that anybody agreed, so bernard waits until they sign up on one of your forms themselves. Consent on the new form
A bernard form can carry a box asking people to agree to your emails. The box always starts empty, and the visitor must tick it. It cannot be pre-ticked. After they tick it, they confirm by email, and then they can be emailed.
Before you switch
Do one real sign-up with your own email once the change is live, and check you appear in your contacts. Bernard never fills in a live form itself, because that would create a real contact.

Questions people ask
- Can Bernard switch my Typeform over to bernard?
- Not by converting it. A form that still works and sends its answers to Typeform, Mailchimp or a similar service is left exactly as it is: Bernard’s form repair refuses to touch a working form. What Bernard can do is add a bernard sign-up form to the page, and take the old one off only if you say so. You approve both on a preview before anything changes.
- What about a form that stopped working after my site moved?
- That one Bernard can swap. A form whose engine stayed behind on WordPress is found by the form check, and you choose per form: swap it for a bernard sign-up form, reconnect it to your mailing provider, or take it off.
- Do the answers people already gave on Typeform come across?
- Not on their own. If you download them as a spreadsheet, you can bring that file into your contacts. Those people become contacts you can look up, but not people you can email, because a spreadsheet is not proof that anybody agreed.
- Where do the new sign-ups go?
- Into your contacts on this site, with what they typed and what they agreed to. Every active member of your account gets an email each time somebody fills the form in.
- Will my Typeform automations still run?
- Not for people who sign up on the bernard form, because their answers no longer go to Typeform. If something in Typeform or your mailing tool depends on those answers, keep that form where it is, or set up the matching automatic email in bernard first.
