My opening hours have changed
Out-of-date opening hours send people to a closed door — and they rarely come back. On a bernard-hosted site you fix them by asking, not by hunting through a website builder for every page that mentions them.
How it works
- Get your access prompt. Log in to bernard, open your site, and copy the prompt from Edit with AI (it contains a key that works for 12 hours).
- Paste it into your AI — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, whichever you already use — then ask in your own words, or use the prompt below.
- Approve. The AI sends back a preview link. Check the hours look right, press Approve, and they're live.
Opening hours tend to hide in more than one place — the contact page, the footer, the home page. The AI reads every page, so they all change together.
The prompt
“Change the opening hours on my site to [the new opening hours] — everywhere they appear, including the contact page and the footer.”
The [bracketed] parts are yours to fill in. First time? Log in to bernard → your site → Edit with AI → copy your access prompt, paste that into your AI first, then ask the above.
Questions people ask
- How do I update the opening hours on my website?
- If your site is hosted with bernard, just tell the AI you already use — ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini — what the new hours are. It finds every place they appear and updates them all together, and nothing goes live until you approve it on a preview page.
- Will Google show my new opening hours?
- Search engines re-read your site regularly, so once the change is live the new hours are what they see. Ask the AI to update any structured opening-hours information on the page too — it knows to keep that in step with the visible text.
- What if I have seasonal or holiday hours?
- Say so in your ask — for example 'closed for August' or 'open late Thursdays in December'. The AI writes it the way you'd say it, and you check the wording on the preview before pressing Approve.
