Rewrite a page
Most website text was written in a hurry years ago and never touched again — it reads fine to you because you've stopped seeing it. On a bernard-hosted site, a fresh draft costs one sentence, and you get to read it before anyone else does.
How it works
- Get your access prompt. Log in to bernard, open your site, and copy the prompt from Edit with AI (it contains a key that works for 12 hours).
- Paste it into your AI — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, whichever you already use — then ask in your own words, or use the prompt below.
- Approve. The AI sends back a preview link. Read the new version properly, press Approve, and it's live.
The best rewrites start with you talking: tell the AI a little about what you actually do and who the page is for, and the draft will sound like it came from you rather than a brochure.
The prompt
“Rewrite my [name of the page] page — keep the facts exactly as they are, but make it [clearer / warmer / more confident], and don't change the layout.”
The [bracketed] parts are yours to fill in. First time? Log in to bernard → your site → Edit with AI → copy your access prompt, paste that into your AI first, then ask the above.
Questions people ask
- How do I rewrite the text on my website?
- If your site is hosted with bernard, ask the AI you already use — ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini — to redraft the page. It keeps your facts, reworks the wording, and sends a preview link; nothing is published until you read it and press Approve.
- Will the AI make things up about me?
- It isn't allowed to — bernard's rules tell it never to invent claims, credentials or prices. If it needs a fact it doesn't have, it asks you instead. And you read every word on the preview before approving.
- Can I rewrite just one section, not the whole page?
- Yes — name it: 'rewrite the opening paragraph' or 'just the part about commissions'. The AI changes only what you asked for and leaves the rest untouched.
