How do I see how much my website has made this month?

Open Reports and press Payments, or type the question. You get the money taken, the number of orders, your average order, and how each of those compares with the month before. It only reads your figures, so there is nothing to approve and nothing can change.

Does it show sales for all my sites at once?

Yes. If you run more than one site the total comes first, then each site on its own line with its own trend, so you can see which one is carrying the month. You can also switch to a single site from the picker at the top.

Why do the figures look different from Stripe?

Stripe shows what has landed in your bank after its fees and its own payout schedule; the report shows what your buyers paid, at the moment they paid it. Refunds show as refunded rather than being quietly taken off the total.

See how sales are going

"How's it going?" is the question every owner actually asks, and it is the one a wall of charts is worst at answering. So Reports is a conversation: you ask, and you get a sentence with the number in it, then the figures behind it.

Where it lives

Reports sits in the menu beside Account. Open it and Bernard offers a handful of things he can pull together. Press Payments and you get:

the money taken, and whether that is up or down on the window before
the number of orders and your average order
one line per site, with its own trend, and an account total that always equals the sum of those lines
your most recent orders, who bought, what they bought and whether anything was refunded

Above it all sits a window picker - one day, three days, a week, a month, three months. Every figure on the page moves with it, and every comparison is against the equal window immediately before, so "up 14%" always means something exact.

Or just ask

The box at the bottom takes a real question. "How did the summer sale do?" "Was last weekend better than the one before?" Bernard reads the actual figures before answering, and tells you which window and which sites the answer covers. He will say plainly when a window is simply empty rather than dressing nothing up as something.

What it will not do

Reports only reads. Nothing on this page changes your site, so there is no draft to check and no Approve button - the approval step you know from editing pages does not apply here. And it only knows what your site knows: money that came through your site, people who left their details, visits to sites that are measuring. It cannot see your costs, so it cannot tell you your profit.

If a number looks wrong, the usual cause is a sale that did not go through your site at all.
