How do I take down a post or close a thread?
Moderation in the community forum takes one sentence. Tell Bernard which post to remove or which thread to lock, and it is done.

Removing a post
A removed post stops appearing everywhere in the forum. It is hidden, not destroyed, and the forum’s own history shows who removed it and when. A reason is optional - if you give one, it is recorded in your account history.
To find the right post, ask for the digest first (What did my members talk about this week?). Every post comes back with an id, so you can say “remove the second one” or name it by topic.
Locking a thread
A locked thread stays visible - members can read every post in it - but nobody can reply. Useful when a conversation has gone in circles or when an announcement should not collect replies.
Unlocking is the same ask in reverse: “unlock the brushes thread.”
Who can moderate
- The account owner can remove posts and lock threads.
- A moderator (see Can someone help me moderate?) can do the same.
- A member or read-only member cannot.
Restoring removed content
Restoring a removed post or a deleted thread will be available as a self-service tool in a future update. Until then, ask the bernard team and they can put it back.

- Ask for the week’s digest first. Every post and thread in the digest carries an id. You can say ‘remove the second one’ or ‘lock the thread about brushes’ and Bernard matches it. Bernard confirms the exact post with you for approval before acting.
