Can Bernard turn one blog post into posts for my socials?

A good blog post holds more than one post’s worth of ideas. Bernard can find the sentences in it that make a point on their own and build a short post around each, for the networks you choose. For the wider idea of getting a week out of one piece, see How do I turn one idea into a week of content?.

The prompt

“Turn my latest blog post into posts for my [Instagram, LinkedIn or Facebook].”

Signed in, Get my prompt fills in your site for you. Otherwise press Copy and fill in the [bracketed] parts. First time? Connect your AI to bernard once: Use your own AI (opens in a new tab).

How it works

  1. Pick the piece: a blog post on your site, a newsletter you wrote in bernard, or a lesson with a transcript.
  2. Pick the networks: Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, or a mix.
  3. Bernard writes one post for each network. Each one quotes one of your sentences, word for word, in quotation marks, and adds a short lead-in or follow-on in your voice.

Ask in the Workshop chat, for example “Turn my latest blog post into posts for my socials”, or ask your own assistant through Bernard Marketing.

Your sentence stays yours

Bernard copies your sentence exactly, with your spelling and your punctuation. He checks each quote against your piece before he saves it, and leaves out any that does not match. The words around the quote are his, and they are marked as his until you edit them.

Nothing goes out without you

The posts wait on your shelf as ideas. Read them, change what you like, then give each one a day. A post goes out only after you press Schedule.

Questions people ask

Will Bernard change my words?
No. Each post quotes one sentence from your piece exactly as you wrote it, in quotation marks. Bernard checks every quote against your piece, and a sentence he cannot find there is left out. Only the short lead-in around the quote is his, and it is marked as his until you edit it.
Does it post anything?
No. The posts wait on your shelf as ideas. A post goes out only after you press Schedule, which is your approval of the exact words and time.
What can I turn into posts?
A blog post on your site, a newsletter you wrote in bernard, or a lesson whose recording has a transcript. Choose one or more of Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, and you get one post for each.
What if nothing comes back?
If Bernard could not find the sentences in your piece, nothing is written and he says so. Try again, or pick a longer piece with a few clear sentences that stand on their own.
