Can I put my own post, blog post or email on my calendar, in my own words?
You already write. Maybe the post is in your notes app, the newsletter is half done in another tool, or you wrote it with your own assistant. Bernard can hold it on your calendar in your exact words, beside everything he plans for you. See What is Bernard’s calendar of work? for how the calendar works.
The prompt
“Put this on my bernard calendar for [day], in my words exactly: [your post].”

What you can bring
- A social post - your words, the networks it goes to, and any photos from your library, in the order you want them. Bernard makes the post for each network at once, with your words in every one.
- A blog post - a title and the post itself. When your site has a blog, Bernard makes it a draft page on your blog, ready for you to check. When your site has no blog yet, your words wait safely on the calendar until you start one.
- An email to your list - a subject and the email itself. Bernard keeps it as a draft email, ready for you to check.
Ask in the Workshop chat, for example “Put this on Thursday, in my words exactly”, or ask your own assistant through Bernard Marketing.
A day, or the shelf
Give your item a day, today or later, and it sits on that day. Leave the day out and it waits on the shelf, in the order you keep. When you are ready, ask Bernard to put the shelf on your free days: by default two posts and one longer piece a week, Monday to Friday. A free day is a day with nothing on it yet. The items become planned on their days; nothing is approved for you.
Your words stay yours
Bernard marks these items as yours. When he replans your weeks, or later suggests a set of ideas, he plans around them and never rewrites them. He adds no link and no tracking tag to your words unless you ask.
Nothing goes out without you
Adding an item never posts, sends or publishes anything. A post goes out only after you press Schedule (or tell Bernard you approve the exact post); an email only after you say yes to its quote; a blog post only when you publish. Once a post is scheduled, its time is the time you approved, so moving it means scheduling it again.
Questions people ask
- Will Bernard change my words?
- No. Your own words are kept letter for letter, with your line breaks and your links as you typed them. A replan, a suggested set or a repurpose never touches them. They change only when you change them, or when you ask Bernard to.
- What is the shelf?
- The shelf holds the items that have no day yet, in the order you keep them. Ask Bernard to move one up or down, to give one a day, or to put them all on your free days at a rhythm you name, for example two posts and one longer piece a week.
- Does this post or send anything?
- No. A post waits for your Schedule, which is your approval of the exact post and its time. An email waits for your yes to its quote. A blog post waits for your Publish. Once a post is scheduled it keeps its approved time: to move it, you schedule it again.
- Do I need a plan first?
- No. You can add your own items to an empty calendar. Bernard’s plan, if you make one, works around them.
- Can my own assistant do this?
- Yes, through Bernard Marketing. An assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT brings your words in unchanged, on a day or on the shelf, and the same approval applies: nothing goes out until you say so.
