Can Bernard write my monthly newsletter from what I posted?
A monthly newsletter is the easiest email to put off, and most of it is already written: it is what you posted and wrote this month. Bernard can gather that up and draft the round-up for you.
The prompt
“Write this month’s newsletter from what I posted, for [the people who said yes to my emails, or the list you want].”

How to ask
In the Workshop, choose Write this month’s newsletter under Fix my content, or ask in your own words: “Write this month’s newsletter from what I posted.” It works the same way in your own assistant through Bernard Marketing.
What Bernard does
- He reads your calendar and what went out this month: your posts, blog posts and emails.
- He drafts a warm round-up in your voice, one line or so for each thing, to the people who agreed to hear from you (or the list you name).
- He shows you the subject and the first lines. Ask for changes until you are happy.
- He saves it as a draft email. Nothing is sent.
Sending it
The draft waits with your other campaigns, under Your customers → Email campaigns. When you are ready, preview it and approve the final quote: the exact email, who it goes to, how many people and when. It sends only when you accept the quote. Your site needs its own sending address first; until then Bernard says what is missing.
How a campaign is checked, tested and sent is in How do email campaigns work?. To see your newsletter beside your posts, see Can I see my posts, blog posts and emails on one calendar and move them about?.
Questions people ask
- Does Bernard send the newsletter?
- No. He saves it as a draft email campaign. It sends only when you review its quote and approve it. The quote shows who it goes to before anything leaves.
- Who does it go to?
- To the people who agreed to hear from you, unless you name another list. You see the list and the number of people on the quote before you approve the send.
- What if nothing went out this month?
- Bernard says so and asks what the newsletter should be about instead. He never makes up an event, a number or a result.
- Can I change what Bernard wrote?
- Yes. Bernard shows you the subject and the first lines before he saves anything. Ask for changes in your own words, or open the saved draft under Your customers, Email campaigns and edit it there.
