The wrong price is showing

A wrong price is worse than no price — it either undersells your work or scares off a buyer who'd have paid the real one, and both cost you. On a bernard-hosted site you correct it by saying so, not by logging into a shop dashboard.

How it works

  1. Tell Bernard. Log in, open your site, and say which item and what the right price is — or use the prompt below.
  2. Or use your own AI. Prefer ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini? Connect it once in Use your own AI (a one-time MCP setup), then ask there — same result.
  3. Approve. Either way you get a preview. Check the figure is right, press Approve, and it's live.

Prices have a habit of appearing twice — on a list page and on the item's own page. Asking fixes every appearance at once, so they can't drift apart (Change a price).

The prompt

The price of [the item] on my site is wrong — change it to [the correct price], everywhere it appears.

The [bracketed] parts are yours to fill in. First time? Connect bernard to your AI over MCP — a one-time setup in bernard → your site → Use your own AI — then paste the prompt above.

Questions people ask

How do I change a price on my website?
If your site is hosted with bernard, say it — to Bernard in your dashboard, or to the AI you already use, ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini — which item and what the right price is. It updates every place the price appears, and nothing goes live until you approve it on a preview page.
What if the same item is priced on more than one page?
They change together. On a shop with checkout the price is a single record that the shop page, the item's page and the till all read from; on other pages the AI reads the whole site and updates every occurrence — the prompt says 'everywhere it appears' for exactly that reason.
Can I put prices up across the whole site at once?
Yes — ask for it in plain words, like 'add 10% to all my print prices'. You'll see every new figure on the preview page before anything is published, so you can check the sums before pressing Approve.
