Change a price
A wrong price is worse than no price — it either undersells your work or scares off a buyer who'd have paid the real one. On a bernard-hosted site you fix it by asking, in one sentence.
How it works
- Get your access prompt. Log in to bernard, open your site, and copy the prompt from Edit with AI (it contains a key that works for 12 hours).
- Paste it into your AI — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, whichever you already use — then ask in your own words, or use the prompt below.
- Approve. The AI sends back a preview link. Check the new price looks right, press Approve, and it's live.
If several prices have changed, list them all in one message — the AI makes all the changes on the same preview, and you approve them together.
The prompt
“Change the price of [the product name] on my site to [the new price] — everywhere it appears, including the shop page.”
The [bracketed] parts are yours to fill in. First time? Log in to bernard → your site → Edit with AI → copy your access prompt, paste that into your AI first, then ask the above.
Questions people ask
- How do I update prices on my website without logging into a builder?
- If your site is hosted with bernard, you tell the AI you already use — ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini — the piece and the new price, and it makes the change through bernard. No dashboard, no hunting through page editors.
- What if the price appears in more than one place?
- Ask it to change the price everywhere it appears — the prompt on this page does. The AI reads each page of your site and updates every occurrence, so the shop page and any mentions elsewhere stay in step.
- What if it changes the wrong price?
- Nothing is published until you look at a preview and press Approve. If something's off, reject the change and ask again — and bernard keeps a full year of history, so any published change can be put back.
