I've finished a new painting — put it on my site

The paint's barely dry and the website is already behind — it's the chore that always slips. On a bernard-hosted site, putting a new piece up takes one message and the photos you've already got on your phone.

How it works

  1. Get your access prompt. Log in to bernard, open your site, and copy the prompt from Edit with AI (it contains a key that works for 12 hours).
  2. Paste it into your AI — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, whichever you already use — then paste the photos into the chat and ask in your own words, or use the prompt below.
  3. Approve. The AI sends back a preview link. Check the title, the details and how the photos sit, press Approve, and the new work is live.

Give the AI whatever you'd put on a gallery label — title, size, medium, year, price or "not for sale" — and it writes the entry to match the rest of your site. If it's sold the moment it went up, that's one more message too.

The prompt

I've finished a new painting called [the title][size, medium, year, and price if it's for sale]. Add it to my site with the photos I'm about to paste, at the top of the gallery.

The [bracketed] parts are yours to fill in. First time? Log in to bernard → your site → Edit with AI → copy your access prompt, paste that into your AI first, then ask the above.

Questions people ask

How do I add a new artwork to my website?
If your site is hosted with bernard, tell the AI you already use — ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini — about the piece and paste the photos straight into the chat. It adds the work to your site in the same style as your existing pieces, and nothing goes live until you approve the preview.
Do I need to resize or rename the photos first?
No — paste them as they are, up to 10 MB each. The AI uploads them and places them on the page for you.
Will the new painting match the rest of my gallery?
Yes — the AI copies the style and layout your existing gallery items already use, so the new piece looks like it belongs. You see exactly how it sits on the preview page before pressing Approve.
