Can I cancel, and can I get my money back?
Nobody wants to read the cancellation page before they've even started, and nobody should have to hunt for it afterwards. So, plainly: you can leave whenever you like, and if you change your mind early you get your money back in full.
The money-back promise
If bernard isn't for you, tell us within 30 days of your first payment for a plan and we'll refund it in full. Email [email protected]. There's no form to fill in, no reason required, and no retention conversation to sit through.
Two things worth saying out loud, because they're the questions people are too polite to ask:
- The Move stays free even if you leave. We copy your existing site over before you've really had a chance to judge us. If you take the refund inside the window, that work was ours to risk, not yours to pay for.
- It's your first payment that's covered, not renewals. The promise is there so you can try bernard without betting anything. Once you've been with us a year, you already know what you're renewing.
Cancelling is not the same as being cut off
This trips people up, so: cancelling stops the next payment, it doesn't switch your site off today. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've already paid for, and everything you approved stays exactly as it is until then.
After that period ends, your site stops being published. Before it does, take your content with you: your words, your images, your pages. If you brought your own domain name, or bought one through us, it's yours and it goes with you.
Your legal rights, stated plainly
If you're a consumer in the UK or the EU, the law gives you fourteen days from the day after you subscribe to cancel and get your money back, no reason needed. That right exists whatever we write here.
Our promise is longer than the legal minimum and doesn't replace it. Use whichever suits you better. The full wording is in our terms, under "Plans, billing and cancellation".
Before you decide
If you're weighing it up, it's worth seeing what you've actually got first. Ask your AI to list everything on your site, and you'll get a straight inventory of the pages, posts, products and images you'd be taking with you. Nothing changes on your site from asking; it only ever reads.

- Are add-ons and domain names covered too?
- No. Those are charged separately and sit outside the money-back promise, because we pay for them on your behalf the moment you order. A domain you bought stays yours, and you can take it elsewhere.
