Sell one course several ways, at different prices
Plenty of teachers sell the same course more than one way: the course on its own, the course with a few months of their club, the course with a year of it. Copying the course to do that means two sets of lessons to keep in step. Here the course stays one course and simply has more than one price.
The prompt
“Sell my [course name] course another way: [what the version includes, e.g. with 3 months of my club] for [the price]. Keep [the current price] as the course on its own.”

How it works
- Say each way and its price. “Seascapes is £200 on its own and £250 with three months of the club.” The course’s own price stays the first option; Bernard adds the others, each with the label your buyers read.
- Say how long they keep it, once. “Everything I sell gives 12 months of access” sets the term for every new way of selling. A single version can still say “for ever” or a different number of days.
- Check the course page. It lists every price with its own button, and the price line says where the prices start (“From £200”).
- Approve. The new page goes live when you say so.
A discount code still works on any of these prices, one code per order (Let people use a discount code on a course). Members can have a lower price of their own that only they see (Give my members a better price on my courses). A version “with three months of the club” really gives those months, as free months that carry on at the club’s price or that simply end (Give a few months of my membership with a course).
Changing a price later is safe. Someone who paid £250 keeps exactly what they bought; the new figure applies to new buyers only, and the record of each sale names the version it was paid at. Retiring a price takes it off the page without touching anyone who bought it.
To see every course, every way it is sold and what each costs in one list, ask for your price list (Show me all my prices in one place). The longer story of pricing a single course is in Charge once, or sell a year of access.
Questions people ask
- Do I need to copy my course to sell it at a second price?
- No. One course can have several prices, each with its own label and its own button on the course page. The lessons stay in one place, so there is nothing to keep in step.
- What happens to people who already bought if I change a price?
- Nothing changes for them. A price someone has paid is never edited: bernard makes a new version for new buyers, and every past order keeps the version it was paid at. Bernard tells you how many orders each price has had before and after.
- How long do buyers keep the course?
- Each way of selling has a term - for ever, or a number of days from the day they pay. If you say once that everything you sell gives, say, 12 months, every new version takes that unless you say otherwise.
- Do the new prices go live straight away?
- The course page with the new prices is drafted privately. It goes live on your site when you approve the change, like every other page change.
