Can my assistant plan my content calendar?

Your content calendar lives in Bernard’s Workshop, on the Calendar tab. With Bernard Marketing connected, your own assistant can work the same calendar: read it, plan it, extend it and put in what you dictate. Can I run my marketing from Bernard? explains the connection.

The prompt

“Plan my content calendar for the next month, put the [event] on [date], and tell me what is due this week.”

What it can do

  • Read the plan. “What is due this week?” is answered from the calendar, never invented.
  • Plan the first three months. Only when you ask. Bernard draws the plan from what your site needs, in the rhythm How do I make a content calendar I’ll actually keep? describes.
  • Extend it. When fewer than four weeks are left, one ask adds the next stretch. If the plan is already long enough, or Bernard is already extending it, your assistant is told so and moves on.
  • Put in your dates. The show, the launch, the newsletter you always send: say the date and the kind (something to write, share, take part in, reach out about, send to your list, or measure) and it goes in as your own entry.
  • Move and mark. Move an entry to another day, rename it, and mark it done or skipped.

What it cannot do

It cannot approve Bernard’s own work on your calendar for you. An entry that holds Bernard’s work (a page, posts, an email) is approved by you, in words, and your assistant only relays that yes. It cannot plan twice in an hour, and it cannot write a page or send an email from this job.

Questions people ask

Will my assistant plan without asking me?
No. It reads the calendar first and plans only when you ask. Planning again is limited to once an hour, and extending a plan that runs short happens once; Bernard keeps the plan honest on his side whichever of you asks first.
Does planning change anything on my website?
No. The calendar is a list of dated entries in Bernard’s Workshop. Writing a page or sending an email is a separate job that still waits for your approval before anything goes live.
What if I put in my own dates?
An entry you dictate is yours: Bernard plans around it and never redraws it. You can move it or rename it later, and mark it done or skipped when the day comes.
Which size includes this?
The content calendar is part of Nautilus Medium, and Large includes everything Medium has. On Small your assistant is told so plainly and nothing is planned.
