How do I post an announcement to everyone?

Speaking to your community as the host - the welcome post, a monthly project brief, a reply to a question - is one ask in the workshop chat.

The prompt

Post in my forum under [category]: [what to say].

Signed in, Get my prompt fills in your site for you. Otherwise press Copy and fill in the [bracketed] parts. First time? Connect your AI to bernard once: Use your own AI (opens in a new tab).

Starting a new thread

Tell Bernard the category and what to say. Bernard drafts the title and body, shows them to you verbatim, and posts only after you approve. The post appears under your own name and avatar.

You can ask for it to be pinned - a pinned post stays at the top of its category so new visitors see it first.

Replying to a thread

Give Bernard the thread name or the id from the digest (What did my members talk about this week?) and what you want to say. Bernard shows you the words first and posts the reply after you approve.

Finding the right category

If you are not sure which category to post in, ask Bernard to list the categories first. It returns the names, and you can pick one.

Markdown

The forum supports Markdown in posts. Bold, italic, links, lists and headings all work. Bernard writes Markdown by default.

The approval step

Bernard never posts to the forum without showing you the exact words first. This is deliberate - a post from the host carries your name and your authority, so you see it before anyone else does.
