Getting found

How do I get found?

That’s the real question, and it’s the point of moving. Once your site is in its new home, Bernard has the tools to work on exactly that - for Google, and for AI search.

  • Tune any page for search - titles, descriptions, the structured data Google reads - changed in your own words, no plugins.
  • The plain-language map of every page written for AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude.
  • He can tell the search engines the moment something changes, and answers “how am I doing?” from Google’s own numbers, and using plain language.

What you get

  • Your own website and shop, at your own web address
  • Your listings brought across for you, photos and prices included
  • Every buyer on your own contact list
  • Your Etsy shop, untouched and still selling

Said plainly

What stays behind, for now

  • Your Etsy reviews, sales history and favourites stay with your Etsy shop. That’s why this sits beside Etsy, not instead of it.

To be fair: sell only a little and Etsy costs you less than £400 a year. Your own shop earns its keep as more buyers come back to you directly.

Etsy figures from Etsy’s Fees & Payments Policy (etsy.com/uk/legal/fees, last updated 5 October 2026) and Etsy’s help articles on payment processing and the regulatory operating fee, all read 15 October 2026. Etsy’s fees are charged before VAT. Bernard’s price from our own pricing page.

Questions people ask

Do I have to leave Etsy?
No. Etsy brings buyers who would never find a small shop on their own, so keep it. Your own shop sits beside it, for the people who come back or search for you by name.
What does Etsy charge a UK seller?
From Etsy’s own fee policy, read on 15 October 2026: 0.20 USD to list an item, renewed every four months; 6.5% of the item price plus delivery and gift wrap; payment processing of 4% + £0.20 per order; and a 0.48% regulatory operating fee. Offsite Ads take 15% of an order they bring in, capped at 100 USD, or 12% and compulsory once a shop has made 10,000 USD in a year. All are charged before VAT.
Are there other Etsy fees?
A few. 2.5% to convert currency if you list in a different currency from your payout, a set-up fee for new shops (Etsy shows the amount at sign-up), and optional extras: Etsy Plus at 10 USD a month, and Pattern, Etsy’s website add-on, at 15 USD a month after a 30-day trial.
What have I got to lose?
Nothing. Tell us your Etsy shop and a person writes back within a working day with what your own site could look like and what it would cost. Nothing is built or charged until you say yes, and your Etsy shop isn’t touched.
What does my own shop cost?
£400 a year for the website and the shop together, hosting included. Bernard takes 0% of your sales: buyers pay through your own Stripe account, at Stripe’s own card fee.
I have a website as well. Can you use it?
Yes. Paste its address in the box lower down and Bernard moves it in, free to try for 14 days. Your shop then sits on the site you already have.

No more waiting a fortnight for a developer.
