Give lots of people access to my courses at once

When you have more than a handful of students to set up, a list does it.

How it works

  1. Hand Bernard the list. A spreadsheet or a pasted list: each person’s email and the courses they should have.
  2. He shows you the plan. How many people, how many on each course, and anything he could not match. You say yes.
  3. Everyone is enrolled, in batches. Ask for it quietly and nobody hears a thing. You get a line for every person and course.
  4. Tell them when you are ready (Email my students a link to all their courses).

Questions people ask

Will everyone get an email straight away?
Only if you want them to. Ask for it quietly and nobody is emailed and no course emails start. When you are ready, one email each tells them their courses.
Does anything happen before I approve?
No. Bernard shows you the plan first - how many people, how many on each course, and anything he could not match - and only enrols people after your approval.
What if someone is already on a course?
Nothing changes for them and nothing is sent. The report says they were already enrolled.
Can I see what one person has?
Yes. Ask what courses [email protected] has and you get every course she is on.
Can I take courses away in bulk too?
Yes, the same way. Bernard never removes anything you did not name, so a missing row in your list never takes access away.
