Reorder my shop page

The top of your shop page is your shop window — and if your best work is buried three scrolls down, most visitors never see it. On a bernard-hosted site you change the order by describing it.

How it works

  1. Get your access prompt. Log in to bernard, open your site, and copy the prompt from Edit with AI (it contains a key that works for 12 hours).
  2. Paste it into your AI — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, whichever you already use — then describe the order you want, or use the prompt below.
  3. Approve. The AI sends back a preview link. Check the new order reads well, press Approve, and it's live.

You don't need to spell out every position — "newest first, but keep the large canvases at the top" is exactly the kind of instruction the AI handles well.

The prompt

Reorder my shop page so that [the pieces you want first] appear at the top, with the rest following [newest first / by price / your preferred order].

The [bracketed] parts are yours to fill in. First time? Log in to bernard → your site → Edit with AI → copy your access prompt, paste that into your AI first, then ask the above.

Questions people ask

How do I change the order of products on my website?
If your site is hosted with bernard, tell the AI you already use — ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini — the order you want. It rearranges the entries on your shop page without changing their content, and shows you a preview to approve.
What order should products go in on a shop page?
Lead with the work you most want to sell or be known for — visitors judge the page by its first row. Newest-first is a good default; ask the AI to put a particular piece at the top for an exhibition or a sale.
What if I don't like the new order?
Nothing goes live until you press Approve on the preview, so just reject it and describe a different order. And bernard keeps a full year of history, so any published change can be put back.
