Can my assistant schedule my social posts?
Your social posts can start in a conversation. With Bernard Marketing connected, your own assistant can make the posts for a Share entry on your calendar, show you each one, take your changes, and schedule them when you say yes. Can I run my marketing from Bernard? explains the connection, and What does Bernard do about my social posts? explains the posts themselves.
The prompt
“Draft posts for my next Share entry, show me each one, and schedule them for [day] at [time] once I say yes.”
Signed in, Get my prompt fills in your site for you. Otherwise press Copy and fill in the [bracketed] parts. First time? Connect your AI to bernard once: Use your own AI (opens in a new tab).
How it works
- Pick the entry. Your assistant reads your calendar and names the Share entries coming up. You say which one.
- Bernard drafts. He writes a separate post for each network you pick, in your voice, with photos from your media library, and starts preparing the files. The calendar is part of Nautilus Medium, so this is too.
- You see each post as it will go out. The final words, the prepared photo or film, the account it goes to and the time. If a file is still being prepared, your assistant says so.
- Change what you like. Ask for other words, another photo, or another account. Each change means you look at the post again.
- Say yes. Tell your assistant the day and the time, and say yes to those exact posts. That yes is your approval, the same as pressing Schedule on the calendar card.
Your assistant then tells you who posts each one. Where an account’s row says Posts for you, Bernard posts it at that time, exactly as you saw it. Everywhere else he reminds you at that time and hands the post to you (How does Bernard post to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn for me?).
The email you get
When your assistant schedules posts, Bernard emails you once: what was scheduled, when, and who posts each one. If it is not what you asked for, press Stop on the calendar card before the post is due.
In Bernard’s Workshop
The chat in the Workshop drafts and shows the posts the same way, but it does not schedule them. There you press Schedule on the post card of the Calendar tab yourself.
What stays with you
Your assistant cannot connect a social account, mark a post live, or answer Post it yourself or Did this go out? for you. Those are yours, on the calendar card. Bernard never logs in to a social account.
Questions people ask
- Will it post without asking me?
- No. Your yes on the exact preview is the approval, the same as pressing Schedule on the calendar card. Your assistant schedules only after you said yes to those posts in that conversation, and a post you did not see is refused.
- Which networks post automatically?
- Only an account whose row on the Social accounts card says Posts for you. Every other post you post yourself in the network’s own app, and Bernard reminds you at the time you chose.
- Can it tell Bernard a post is live, or post it for me when one fails?
- No. It’s live, Post it yourself and Did this go out? are your answers, on the calendar card. Your assistant sends you there and never answers for you.
- Can I change my mind?
- Yes. Press Stop on the calendar card, or change the post, any time before it is due. A change needs your approval again, on the new preview.
