Sell several courses together as a bundle
Some courses belong together. A buyer who wants both should not have to check out twice, and should pay less for taking both. A bundle sells two to eight of your courses for one price, with one payment.
The prompt
“Sell [first course] and [second course] together as a bundle for [the bundle price]. People who already own one of them should pay [less / the rest of the bundle price / a fixed price of ...].”

How it works
- Say which courses and the price. “Sell Painting Skies and Painting Water together for £280.” Bernard checks the bundle costs less than buying the courses one by one, and says so if it does not.
- Each course keeps a term. Every course in the bundle gives access for its own term from the day the buyer pays: your site-wide term if you set one (Charge once, or sell a year of access), else each course’s own.
- The bundle appears on each course’s page. Under the course’s own price, the page lists the bundle, the courses in it, its price and what it saves against buying each one alone (“£280, save £60”), with a button to buy the bundle.
- People who own one course can complete the set. A signed-in learner who already has one of the courses, with access still running, sees a lower price for the rest. Unless you say otherwise it is the bundle price shared out by the courses’ own prices: someone who owns the £280 course pays £49.41 for the £60 one. Someone who is not signed in sees the full price and a link to sign in. A learner who owns every course is not offered the bundle at all.
- Approve, and it is live. Bernard drafts the course pages; you approve them like any other change. A bundle goes on sale only when every course in it can be bought on its own: while one is still a draft, by invitation, free or an enquiry page, the bundle is saved but nobody can see or buy it, and Bernard tells you which course is holding it back.
Codes and changes
A discount code can be made for the bundle (Let people use a discount code on a course). It works on the bundle’s full price, never on the lower complete-the-set price: codes never stack with another reduction.
Change a bundle in a sentence: a new price, a new name, or take it off sale. A price someone has paid is never edited; new buyers get the new version and past orders keep theirs. See every bundle with its saving next to your other prices in Show me all my prices in one place.

Questions people ask
- What does a buyer get for one payment?
- Every course in the bundle, each for its own access term from the day they pay. If you said once that everything you sell gives 12 months, each course in the bundle gives 12 months.
- What if someone already owns one of the courses?
- When they are signed in on your site, the course page offers them the rest of the bundle for less: by default the bundle price shared out by each course’s own price, so they pay only for the courses they do not have. You can set your own price for that instead, or switch it off. The course they own keeps its own end date.
- Can a visitor see what other people own?
- No. The lower price is worked out only from the visitor’s own sign-in on your site, never from an email address someone types, and checkout answers everyone who is not eligible with the same words.
- What happens if I refund a bundle?
- The courses that bundle gave are removed. A course the person also bought on its own stays theirs.
- Can I add a course to a bundle later?
- While nobody has bought it, yes. Once someone has, what the bundle gives is fixed, so earlier buyers never get a course added later: Bernard makes a new bundle for new buyers and takes the old one off sale, with your approval.
- Do bundles go live straight away?
- No. The course pages with the bundle are drafted privately and go live on your site when you approve the change, like every other page change.
